OUR PASTOR

Dr. & Mrs. Yaw have been at Northside ministering since January, 2000. Before that they were members and missionaries to Romania.
The Yaws have two grown daughters, four grandchildren and four great grandsons.
Dr. Yaw received his doctorate from Luther Rice Seminary in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Yaw is the Director of  Missions Advance, which helps foreign pastors in their biblical training. He has schools in Romania, Mexico, Russia and South America.  Mrs. Yaw retired from teaching after 32 years in public school. She is the secretary of the church and  Educational Director.
​The Yaws have been married for 50-years and look forward to at least 50 more.

We  believe that in order to reach people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ we need to work together as the family of God. Here at Northside we are blessed to have a Leadership Team that strives to make sure that the Gospel is preached in every ministry that God has blessed us with!

The mission of Northside Baptist Church is to share the Good News of Christ with others.
We are a church that believes that we need to give our very best to reach each and every person who comes our way with the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

Any activity or class you attend you will hear the Word of God being taught. Our passion is missions. We support 33 missionaries and 8 national pastors that circle the world. You can check them out in our Missionary Section. This year our mission's budget is $110,000 and goes directly to missionaries and their ministry!

Every October, we have our Missions Conference. Missionaries from all over the world come to fellowship with us and report on God's work, and from time to time during the year, missionaries and missionary candidate come for a visit. It is always exciting to hear what God is doing and it encourages us to stay strong in the work. No matter what life may bring we stand firm on the Living Word of God!
